ORIGINS OF PASTA

The Etruscans and Romans ate lasagna (lagana) so pasta has very ancient origins. In Arab documents of the 8oo’s recipes are found with pasta as an ingredient, a food suitable for preservation for long journeys.

From here we come to Sicily around 1100 exactly in Trabia (Palermo) where Itriyah, a pasta shaped like spaghetti, was prepared.

From there to:“You provoked me and I destroy you, now I’ll eat you!” by Alberto Sordi in the film Un’americano a Roma, the step is short.
