New York – Born back into the Past.

Although each image evokes a different aspect of the city, Stefano and Silvia Lucchini’s collection, as a whole, reflects the Big Apple in its infinite creative energies and aspirations.

The restyling of the volume has two objectives.

The first is to reflect, in the book’s graphics and layout, the unique blend of modernity and history of the American metropolis, in keeping with the original approach of the photographic narrative told through the images from Stefano and Silvia Lucchini’s photography collection.

The second is to critically explore the language of the photographs, relating them to the history of American photography of the period and highlighting the originality of their anonymous author’s gaze.

The restyling of New York – Born back into the Past involved a complete graphic overhaul, always with the aim of showcasing the photographs to their fullest potential, which is why the graphic design was conceived.
