Vogue – The Dream.
Vogue Italia celebrates its 60th anniversary with a book that retraces the fundamental stages of the magazine, with archive images, stories and insights.
It is impossible to talk about fashion and creativity without taking into account the medium that more than any other has contributed to making fashion a global phenomenon: photography.
Vogue – The Dream delves into the role of fashion photography as a dream factory, with fantastic and fairy-tale atmospheres, high fashion clothes, the creation of imaginary worlds that are sometimes disturbing, sometimes wonderful, but always surprising.
Through the eyes of the great artists who have collaborated with the magazine, the book will trace a map of how fashion photography has simultaneously reflected and shaped our idea of a dream. And how it continues to invent new dreams.

She is a British journalist and editor with US citizenship, since 1988 the director of the monthly Vogue America, considered the most authoritative fashion magazine in the world.
Wintour’s tendency to favor British and American designers is well known.
The only Italians included in her list of the magnificent seven of the fashion world are Miuccia Prada and Stefano Pilati.
As Franca Sozzani (former director of Vogue Italia) also stated, “every editor of Vogue rightly favors designers from their own country”.
Wintour in fact has numerous favorites, even among designers, including John Galliano, who without her help would not have worked at Christian Dior.
She is Head of Editorial Content at Vogue Italia, that is, responsible for editorial operations, strategy and brand vision across all platforms.
She reports directly to Anna Wintour, Editor in Chief of Vogue US and Global Editorial Director of Condé Nast, and Edward Enninful, Editor-in-Chief Vogue UK and European Editorial Director of Vogue.
Francesca studied Modern Literature at the Sorbonne University in Paris and, as a recent graduate, began her career at the Paris office of Vogue Italia in 2010, first as an intern and then as a correspondent.
Always curious and on the move, she began working for Vogue US as a European Fashion Associate and soon after moved to the central offices in New York as Fashion Market Editor.
Before taking on her new leadership role in 2021, she was Fashion Market Director at Vogue Italia.
