The Eldodo Bookstore’s Kids’ Book Club is born!

The Eldodo Bookstore’s Kids’ Book Club.

During our first meeting, we’ll present the book and read some excerpts together to spark engaging reflections. Afterward, we’ll vote on which title to explore next month.

How to participate in the Children’s Book Club

The Meetings
After reading the book, we’ll discuss it together, play with ideas, and create small activities inspired by the pages.

When we meet
Every third Sunday of the month at 4:30 pm we meet at the bookstore, in a welcoming and creative space dedicated to young readers.

Registration
Participation is free: simply register using the form on our website or directly at the bookstore.

Book of the Month
Each month we’ll read a different title, chosen together during the previous meeting. The book can be purchased at the bookstore: this way, we support the project and create a shared journey.

If you already own it
No problem! If you already own the selected title, you can of course use it: the important thing is to bring with you the desire to read it and discover the story together.

We like it because

It’s about sharing common interests: Book club members are all interested in reading, so a sense of community is created. Talking about books they like and sharing what each person enjoyed helps them feel part of something bigger.

It expands their reading: Often, kids find themselves reading only books they already know or are assigned at school. A book club can introduce them to new genres, authors, and stories they would never have chosen on their own, enriching their literary horizons.

Stimulates critical thinking: Discussing a book helps develop critical thinking and the ability to analyze what they read. Children learn to reflect on themes, characters, and plots, which helps them not only in reading but also in other areas of their lives.

It’s socializing: For many young people, a book club is an opportunity to make new friends and socialize with peers who share the same passion. Talking about books can become a starting point for broader conversations.

Develops a sense of belonging: Participating in a regular group creates a sense of commitment that makes the child feel part of an exclusive “club.” This provides a sense of satisfaction and belonging.

It’s fun and dynamic: Children’s book clubs are often organized to ensure lively and interactive discussions. They don’t just focus on books, but can also include creative activities like games, quizzes, drawings, or even meetings with authors.

Develops communication skills: Speaking in front of a group, engaging with others, and learning to listen to different opinions improves communication skills, a very useful skill in everyday life.
